Medical Transcription Rates
Medical transcription is based on a per line charge, one dictator.
Rates begin at 10 cents per line (70 characters), 72 hour turnaround time. Repeat customers may qualify for a 9 cent per line charge for 72 hour turnaround time.
Add 1 cent per line for 48 hr turnaround time.
Add 2 cents per line for 24 hour turnaround time.
Stat turnaround is 15 cents per line.
All transcription is performed with punctuation and grammar corrections, unless otherwise instructed.
Miscellaneous Transcription Rates
Non-Medical and conversational transcription is based on a per dictated minute charge.
Rates begin at $2.75 per recorded minute, 5 business day turnaround time, up to 2 dictators.
Add 10 cents per minute for 3-4 dictators; add 25 cents per minute for more than 5 dictators
Add 10 cents per minute for 4 day turnaround; add 20 cents per minute for 3 day turnaruond; add 30 cents per minute for 2 day turnaround; add 40 cents per minute for 24 hour turnaround.
All transcription is done verbatim with appropriate punctuation.
Explanation of Charges
If the recording is deemed to be extraordinarily difficult to transcribe, you will be notified within 24 business hours of receipt, additional charges may apply. Examples of difficult medical transcription include extraordinary background noise, occasionally accents indicating English as a second language, or dictation that is scattered, choppy, or interrupted.
New Customers
All new customers will be required to pay half of the estimated charge before transcription commences. Half of the transcription will be delivered to the new customer upon completion, at which time the balance of the charges will be requested. Once full payment is received, the entire transcript will be provided.
Established customers will be billed at the end of the monthly billing cycle.
